Ever wonder what it's like to be a non-Muslim teacher at an Islamic school? If Holland's Hennie Metsemakers's experience is representative, it's lousy. She had been an employee at the As Siddieq school in Amsterdam, and got a first-hand look at how the Religion of Peace views non-Muslims.
Did I mention that the school is subsidised by the Dutch government?
Readers have left 5 comments. This is but one more confirmation that "orthodox" Islam is incompatible with Western civilization. Europeans are coming to understand this more and more...I fear for the future, because the clash is inevitable because "multi-culturalism" has blinded people to the reality that not all cultures can co-exist on an equal footing. Ask Iraqi Christians what they think of the idea that Islam is a "Religion of Peace"...I've talked to them, and their story is much different. Even the "nicer" strains of Islam view non-Muslims as inferior, and that "co-existence" is paying the tax and contentedness living as second class. Written by D.B. Are other religious schools subsidized by the Dutch government? If so, I have no problem with the Dutch government subsidizing this school. I would certainly hope that a Catholic school would be allowed to teach true Catholicism instead of having it watered down be requiring that contraception, abortion, and homosexual acts are taught as valid choices. If government can interfere with a Muslim school teaching some form of Islam, it can certainly interfere with an orthodox Catholic school. Just look at Belmont Abbey being required to cover contraception. It is ironic that your post displays the same type of generalizations and intolerance that you are supposedly (gasp) uncovering. You choose the alleged experience of one person without any corroboration and without allowing those you are attacking to defend themselves. This is the kind of behavior that makes me embarrassed for you. Perhaps you should read your own rules before your next post. Sorry Steve, but that kind of statement can only be made by someone wholly ignorant of the many well-publicized examples of non-Muslims treated like subhumans by the orthodox Islamic faithful. Are you utterly unaware of the catalog of persecutions suffered by Christians, Hindus, Jews, Bahai, and Zoroastrians in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Sudan, Iran, Malaysia, etc.? Have you somehow never heard of the jizyah tax -- a fee paid by non-Muslims for the privilege of living in an Islamic state? You'll find that in the Quran -- you know, the holy book of their religion. Fight those who believe not In God nor the Last Day, Nor hold that forbidden By God and His Apostle, Nor acknowledge the Religion Of Truth, (even if they are) Of the People of the Book, Until they pay the Jizya With willing submission, And feel themselves subdued. I used the Dutch story not as an evidence unto itself, but as yet another example of what any reasonable observer already knows: that traditional, orthodox Islam has no room for those of other faiths. You're right to be embarrassed, Steve, but I'm not sure you should be wasting it on me. I failed to understand why these people although being persecuted by their own kind seeking refugees status in our christan lands(knowing we christian are peace-loving and kind) treat the "hands that feed them" with scorn. It should be mandatory that they are guests and liable for deportation; and as guests should refrain from promoting their brand of religion and conform to the values of their adopted lands. The attitule and behaviour spell calamity in the making. Yes, we do not get reviews of Christian persecuting or for that matter -beheading. Place your index finger on any part of the third world you will find persecution engineered by so-called peace-loving Muslims. If they cannot find Muslims to bomb and attack, they wiil invariably turned to their kind. Yes, western governments are benevolent they do not segretate, they care for everyone in their fold and the result? Sometimes, we need to take on the role of "extremists" for kindness is deemed weakness by these collobrators of satan. terrence. Written by terrence |
